India - ADAS and Autonomous Testing News

  • New Year, New opportunities!
  • European suppliers will be demonstrating ADAS solutions at India’s famous test tracks in February 2023
  • One event, two locations!

The UK-based company DriverAssist.Tech welcomes a partnership deal with SAE NIS to jointly host a DATLive expo in India, ‘Motion in Control’.

DATLive is derived from the technical publisher for knowledge dissemination known as DriverAssist.Tech. DATLive aims to organise and host ‘live’ ADAS and Autonomous technology events worldwide, with the primary advantage of track demonstrations to promote industry suppliers, products, solutions, and technology on a global scale.

SAE Northern India Section (NIS) is one of the five sections in India for promoting membership from Industries, Institutions and Technical colleges and for organizing activities related to mobility engineering in the Northern India Region.

Sharing an equal vision, DATLive and SAE NIS are working with local companies in India to offer suppliers a chance to gain valuable networking opportunities in not just one location but two.

Business and Marketing Strategist at DriverAssist.Tech, Taran Rayat, says, “We’re thrilled to partner with SAE NIS and this is a unique opportunity for European ADAS suppliers to get in front of the policymakers right from the beginning of India's ADAS journey. DATLive’s approach is to secure access to track facilities at events like these to offer the most effective networking platform that provides prospective consumers with direct experience of robust supplier technology first-hand”.

In 2022, Union Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari announced that cars in India will be tested by Bharat NCAP, therefore Global NCAP standards are, for the very first time, being introduced across the whole of India.

Motion In Control will provide a network bridge between India’s Automotive market and the leaders of cutting-edge ADAS products and testing equipment that conform to the global NCAP standards.

David Ward, President & CEO, Global NCAP says, "India has made huge progress in making safer cars in the past 15 years, particularly Tata Motors & Mahindra & Mahindra with their 5-star cars. India as an emerging automotive superpower has a key role to play in safer mobility."

The four-day event will take part in two locations and will be split into two-day periods. Part one is to commence in Delhi at iCAT test track from 20th-21st February 2023 and part two is to take place in Indore at the NATRAX test track from 23rd-24th February 2023.

Ramanathan Srinivasan, Technical Vice Chairman at SAE NIS says, ‘We are motivated to work with DATLive due to their years of experience and knowledge within the industry.”

“The development of ADAS technology in India is a positive step for the automotive industry. To make the networking event worthwhile for both exhibitors and customers; partners, sponsors, and suppliers will be able to participate in panel discussions and/or participate in separate presentations, track demonstrations, one on one booth interaction, and much more - it’s an event not to be missed!”.

DriverAssist.Tech confirms this will be the first of many events in India organised by DATLive and SAE NIS offering tangible value of supplier products and services to its demographic.
